VANCOUVER, BC – Fredy Montero scored a late goal for a second consecutive match as Vancouver Whitecaps FC played to a 1-1 draw against Columbus Crew SC at BC Place on Saturday.
Head coach Marc Dos Santos made one change to the lineup that defeated Houston Dynamo the previous weekend, bringing on Theo Bair for Michaell Chirinos after the Honduran sustained a knock in training during the week.
The ‘Caps were on the front foot for the first 10 minutes of the match, with the best opportunity coming from Russell Teibert on nine minutes after he stole the ball and broke in on goal, testing goalkeeper Eloy Room with a low save.
