MLS Disciplinary Committee suspends Christian Bolaños for one match

NEW YORK, NY – The MLS Disciplinary Committee announced on Wednesday that Vancouver Whitecaps FC midfielder Christian Bolaños has been suspended one game and issued an undisclosed fine for violent conduct that endangered the safety of an opponent in the 53rd minute of their match against Sporting Kansas City this past Saturday, August 20.

Bolaños will serve the suspension during Vancouver’s next MLS match this Saturday, August 27 at LA Galaxy (7:20 p.m. PT on TSN1).

The Disciplinary Committee also announced the Sporting Kansas City defender Kevin Ellis has been suspended one match for making contact with the head of Vancouver's Giles Barnes in the ninth minute.
