VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC defender Marcel de Jong has been named an official Jeans Day ambassador for 2018.
De Jong and fellow ambassadors Henrik and Daniel Sedin (Vancouver Canucks) and Jeremiah Johnson (BC Lions) will support and promote Jeans Day through a variety of events and fundraising initiatives, and will be among the thousands of British Columbians sporting a Jeans Day button with their “Canadian Tuxedo” – head-to-toe denim – on May 3 to raise funds for BC Children’s Hospital.
“I’m proud to serve as a Jeans Day ambassador, and Jean Up for BC’s kids on May 3,” de Jong said.
