Vancouver Whitecaps FC are honoured to have Noah and Reid from Hope and Health as Kid Captains of the club's home match against Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium on June 23.
Hope and Health is a non-profit organization and longstanding 'Caps community partner that uses sport and play for social impact, to develop life and leadership skills and resiliency with Indigenous children and youth. The organization's support of development initiatives, while primarily focused on Indigenous children and youth, are also inclusive of Hope and Health'ers extended family and friends.
This was the situation when ten-year-old Noah, a long-term Hope and Health participant, invited his friend Reid to join him at the 8th Annual VI Hope and Health Community Camp in 2019.
