VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Friday that centre back Kendall Waston and midfielder Christian Bolaños have been called up to the Costa Rican national team for the fifth and final round of qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, also called The Hex.
Waston and Bolaños depart for 10 days to join the Ticos on Sunday, March 19. The pair will not be missing any Whitecaps FC matches while away on international duty, and are scheduled to be back with the team in time for their home match against LA Galaxy on Sunday, April 1.
