VANCOUVER, BC – It’s been a very entertaining and enjoyable Whitecaps FC season so far. Tuesday was one of the most fun matches yet, as the ‘Caps topped Montreal Impact 2-1 in the first leg of the Canadian Championship semifinals.
It was also an opportunity to familiarize fans with some of the top young prospects at the club, players who have spent time with the club’s USL team, Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2).
All in all, nine players who've come through WFC2 played a part in the victory. Alphonso Davies was electric, Spencer Richey was phenomenal in net, and Ben McKendry was a force in midfield.
