MONTERREY, MEXICO – The Whitecaps FC Development Squad put in a valiant effort in the final match of their Mexico trip before falling 1-0 to a side from Liga MX club Tigres UANL.
“Playing this Tigres side provided a tough test against a top Mexican club at the end of positive tour,” noted head coach Nick Dasovic. “It was a really pleasing performance from a number of players. The trip has helped the players mature and understand how to prepare and perform at a higher level. We couldn’t quite get the equalizer late on, but the players gave all they had for he shirt and that’s what we asked for.
