VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC defender Jasser Khmiri has been called up to the Tunisian men’s national team for a pair of friendlies this month.
Khmiri, who has previously been called up to national training camps, will be looking for his first senior cap when Tunisia host Sudan at the Hammadi Agrebi Stadium in Radès on October 9, and face Nigeria in a neutral-site match in Austria on October 13.
As a result, Khmiri will not be joining the 'Caps on their five-game road trip beginning this Saturday when they visit Seattle Sounders FC.
