On Thursday, November 16, Whitecaps FC legend and club ambassador Carl Valentine will participate in the Covenant House Sleep Out: Executive Edition.
Sleep Out events are held annually in major cities across North America to raise awareness and funds for youth homelessness and Covenant House. Over 40 local executives, leaders and public figures will participate in the Vancouver Sleep Out event.
Supplied with just a sleeping bag and a piece of cardboard, Valentine, along with team doctor Jim Bovard and his son Joshua Bovard, will sleep outside on the streets of Vancouver to show their support for homeless and at-risk youth.
