The newly formed Whitecaps FC Pre-Academy team will make their first foray into official competition this week as they travel to Costa Rica to take part in the 2019 Concacaf U-13 Champions League.
"This is a new group, and this tournament provides a fantastic opportunity to test themselves against their peers from other countries in the region," said Marinos Papageorgopoulos, director of Whitecaps FC BMO Academy Centres. "It's a great challenge for them, and will provide a terrific learning experience as Bart and his staff begin working with them through their development, and eventually into the MLS Academy.
