'Caps fall to Seattle in the final minutes

SEATTLE, WA – Vancouver Whitecaps FC fell 1-0 to Seattle Sounders FC on a late goal at CenturyLink Field on Saturday night.

Kelvin Leerdam scored the winner in the sixth minute of added time after a relentless effort by the ‘Caps.

Playing the last game in a three-match, eight-day stretch head coach Marc Dos Santos shook things up with a 4-4-2 diamond formation, bringing Jake Nerwinski and Victor ‘PC’ Giro in as the two changes from Wednesday's 2-2 draw in Dallas.

The ‘Caps looked like they might get a repeat of Yordy Reyna’s Goal of the Week, when the striker won a free kick from thirty-yards out in the last minutes of the first half.
