Two Whitecaps FC girls teams travelled to the SilverLakes Sports Complex in Norco, California this past weekend for a series of competitive matches against top competition.
The trip is a part of the club's ongoing strategy to develop top youth players through the Girls Elite REX program in partnership with BC Soccer, part of the Whitecaps FC BMO Academy System.
The U-16 team included players born in 2004 and 2005 (graduating in 2022 and 2023), while the U-14 group was comprised of players from the 2006-born Pre-Girls Elite squad.
More than 50 collegiate coaches from NCAA Division I schools flew to Southern California to attend.
