OCEANSIDE, CA – Vancouver Whitecaps FC U-19 Residency opened the 2018 Academy Playoffs with a 5-1 victory against fellow MLS counterparts New England Revolution Academy on Monday.
Nicholas Fussell opened the scoring, Theo Bair recorded a hat-trick, and Jefferson Alade rounded things out. Thomas Hasal earned the win in net after making his return from a broken hand.
The 'Caps currently sit in first place in Group D after Pateadores and Crew SC Wolves Academy played to a 3-3 draw in the other group match of the day.
