Sometimes, games go so south so quickly that all you can do is shake your head and move onto the next one. That was the case for the Canucks on Tuesday night, falling 6-2 to the Minnesota Wild at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul.
The Wild scored four times in the second period, putting the game out of reach well before the second intermission. Ryan Miller was eventually pulled after allowing six goals on 36 shots. Jacob Markstrom came on in relief for the third period and stopped all five shots he faced.
Jannik Hansen and Daniel Sedin scored for the Canucks, but it was more of formalities for the scoresheet as the goals came with the Canucks down 4-0 and 6-1.
