Bo Horvat was certainly briefed by the Vancouver Canucks’ brass before that he was going to be named the team’s 14th captain this season, but the way the Canucks officially announced it to the rest of their players and to Bo was truly remarkable.
This is the kind of stuff that gives fans chills, similar to when Henrik and Daniel gave fans what was perhaps the most memorable three-game retirement tour of all time at the end of the 2017-18 season.
With all his players sitting in the dressing room, Canucks head coach Travis Green says to his team, “I want to talk about the captains this season.
