Losing a loved one sucks.
On Monday, the Canucks organization released a statement on Monday, announcing the passing of Troy Stecher’s father, Peter Stecher.
It’s the second time this season that a Canucks player has lost their father, as Jacob Markstrom lost his father Anders Markstrom to cancer at the age of 59.
Canucks fans all over the interweb gave Troy their thoughts and condolences on Monday. Of course, we would do that for any player going through something like this, but Stecher is arguably the easiest guy to root for on the team.
