In yesterday’s pregame thread, I talked about how three things needed to change in order for the Canucks to be successful. They needed to be better on the power play. They had to be far better on the penalty kill. And Elias Pettersson needed to bring it. 2 outta 3 was enough, it seems as the Canucks rolled to a 6-3 win over the Dallas Stars last night.
Elias Pettersson had a goal and two assists, as did Bo Horvat, while JT Miller scored twice, and Quinn Hughes added three helpers. Three power play markers took the sting out of Dallas going two for two on the power play, although the Canucks showed signs of getting it together on the kill.
