Heading into the play-in, one of the things that was going to help the Canucks was having Micheal Ferland in the lineup. After a frustrating season dealing with concussion-related issues, he came to camp healthy and looked ready to go. Then, 80 seconds into Game 1, he dropped the gloves with Marcus Foligno of the Wild. Now he’s been declared unfit to play the rest of the series, and is headed back to Vancouver for evaluation.
The biggest concern is that this is a return to the concussion issues, and that his health and career are in jeopardy.
