Only one NHL team is still unbeaten in the 2016-17 season — the Vancouver Canucks. In a 2-1 win against the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday, the Canucks matched their franchise record for the best start into an NHL season, going 4-0-0 for the first time since 1992. Tonight against the Los Angeles Kings, they will look to improve to 5-0-0.
The Canucks’ recent success is a little hard to believe. After the majority of experts predicted them to suck even more than last year and finish last in the league, the team went out and won four straight games to open the season.
