The Vancouver Canucks have had another disappointing season. It’s the second in a row (third of three, depending on who you ask) for head coach Willie Dessjardins, who has yet to get the team past the first round of the playoffs and, in the past two seasons, has watched his team slide towards the NHL’s basement.
The reasons for this are many, and not all of them have to do with the coaching.
In fact, even Desjardins’ biggest critics accept the fact that this Canucks team is not a playoff contender even with the best coaching in the NHL.
