Vancouver Canucks: What Loui Eriksson’s season-ending injury means

The 2017-18 season can’t end soon enough for the Vancouver Canucks, who will now be without forward Loui Eriksson for the remainder of the season with a fractured rib. Ben Kuzma of the Vancouver Province broke the news:

It’s the second-straight year where Eriksson’s season ends early. Last year, he suffered a knee injury in early March and was done for the season. Eriksson was limited to 65 games in 2016-17, and this year ends with just 50 games played.

Without a doubt, it’s nothing but disappointment for Eriksson. Despite a bad first year in Vancouver, he was a prime candidate to bounce back.
