Vancouver Canucks: What Brandon Sutter Will Provide

The Vancouver Canucks once more made a big push towards the future this week with a notable trade. Center Brandon Sutter arrived from Pittsburgh in exchange for Nick Bonino, Adam Clendening and a 2nd round pick in 2016. This move represents the desire by GM Jim Benning to push for more play-off glory and trading for a player such as Sutter is likely to be a wise move.

Selected 11th overall in 2007 by the Carolina Hurricanes, Sutter has 185 points from 495 regular season games. To Vancouver, Sutter does bring play-off experience and will make a great firm anchor on the third line.
