Vancouver Canucks general manager Jim Benning has completed most of his critical offseason tasks, but there’s still plenty of work to do ahead of training camp.
Facing a logjam at forward, the Canucks need to move out at least one or two of their veterans in order to clear much-needed cap room. In an ideal world, the Canucks would find a taker for the final three years of Loui Eriksson‘s $36 million contract.
On top of that, the Canucks need to figure out a new contract for RFA Brock Boeser. The latter deserves a significant raise after posting 26 goals and 56 points in his sophomore year.
