Rumors surrounding his future of Kevin Bieksa have been red hot the past few days. Now the Vancouver Canucks have finally confirmed a move has taken place. Today the veteran defenseman has been traded to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2016 draft. Drafted 151st overall back in 2001, Bieksa has been a loyal servant of the Canucks his entire career.
Bieksa did elected to join the Canucks immediately and instead would return to finish playing for college team, the Bowling Green Falcons. In 2004 he began playing for the Canucks then AHL affiliate, Manitoba Moose.
