The Eddie Lack era in Vancouver is over.
The Vancouver Canucks have traded to Eddie Lack to the Carolina Hurricanes for a 2015 third-round pick (66th overall) and a seventh-rounder in 2016.
Lack became a sought-after goalie because of the way he played when Ryan Miller was injured. He won 18 of the 41 games he appeared in and pretty much got the Canucks into the playoffs before losing his job back to Miller in the middle of the first round of the playoffs.
What’s unfortunate for Lack is that he goes to a team that already has an incumbent starter in Cam Ward.
