After an abysmal 2015-16 campaign, the Vancouver Canucks are fighting an uphill battle. For one, it is the fight for a playoff spot. But at the same time, they are fighting against everyone who has ever accused them of not having a plan or not being a playoff team.
Honestly, it’s hard to blame someone who looks at the Canucks’ past season and says the team doesn’t have playoff caliber. The injury bug just wouldn’t go away all year long, but a good team still would have been able to fight their way through, right? A playoff team is supposed to be deep enough to replace injured players and play like nothing ever happened, right?
