The Vancouver Canucks have planned plenty of festivities and special events for their upcoming 50th anniversary season, but the ultimate celebration will take place if this team qualifies for the postseason.
Barring a totally unexpected series of events, the Canucks are unlikely to join the St. Louis Blues in taking their name off of the Stanley Cup-less list. This is simply another year of trying to take that extra step forward.
