For the Vancouver Canucks, it seems like most of their rivalries these days only last for a few short years before the steam cools off.
Obviously, some rivalries like that of the Montreal Canadiens with the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs are timeless and will never go away. Ditto for the three California NHL teams — who all look to pummel one another when they face off.
But for the Canucks, their rivals have changed over the years. In the ’80s and ’90s, it was the Calgary Flames. In the 2000s, it was the Colorado Avalanche and Minnesota Wild.
