Vasili Podkolzin played for Team Russia, while Nils Hoglander and Arvid Costmar were representing Team Sweden. All three were selected by the Vancouver Canucks at the 2019 NHL draft.

I had watched Podkolzin play several times last season but this was my first viewing of him as a Vancouver Canucks prospect. Last season he dominated the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup but wasn’t that same offensive force in league play. I was very intrigued as to exactly what kind of player the Canucks would be getting.
I didn’t have the opportunity to watch the game versus the Czech Republic U20 live but was able to find a feed to watch the game later.
