What a week, what a week. The Vancouver Canucks had a pair of embarrassing games against the Winnipeg Jets and the Nashville Predators, losing 5-1 and 7-1, respectively. Fans feared that the San Jose Sharks would lay down a similar beating on Friday. The Canucks dug down deep and had a first period to remember. The Sharks stormed back and Sam Gagner of all people won the game in overtime 4-3.
Moving to the East coast, the Utica Comets struggled this week. They only won one out of their five games since our last update and will be in tough to make the playoffs this season.
