There is no doubt that the Vancouver Canucks will have a lot of fun with their 2015 first-round pick, forward Brock Boeser, for years to come. A freshman at the University of North Dakota, Boeser was named to the 2015-16 NCHC All-Rookie Team, receiving 13 first-place votes — more than any other player.
The team is completed with forwards Dylan Gambrell (Denver) and Jack Roslovic (Miami), defencemen Jimmy Schuldt and Will Borgen (both St. Cloud State), as well as goaltender Evan Weninger (Omaha).
Prior to that, the Burnsville, Minnesota native received NCHC Offensive Player of the Week honours for the week of February 29th to March 6th.
