After owning the second-worst offence in the NHL last season, the Vancouver Canucks front office went to work this summer to try and fix a long withstanding issue.
General manager Jim Benning signed slick play-maker and 50-point man Sam Gagner, perennial 20-goal man Thomas Vanek and the speedy, puck-moving defenceman Michael Del Zotto. Throw in youngsters Brock Boeser and Jake Virtanen on the roster, and there is reason to believe this offence can get going once again.
The Canucks will also bank on Bo Horvat, Sven Baertschi and Markus Granlund to each build off career years.
