The Vancouver Canucks lost three of four games last week, with the only victory coming against the NHL’s worst team in the Ottawa Senators.
Elias Pettersson was injured in last Thursday’s road game against the Montreal Canadiens after getting tangled up with fellow rookie Jesperi Kotkaniemi. The belief is that he’ll be out of action for one-to-two weeks, which obviously isn’t the worst of news. At first glance, the injury looked like it could have potentially ended Pettersson’s season.
Right now, Vancouver is a point behind the Minnesota Wild for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
