Following a sluggish 7-4 loss to the Calgary Flames, the Vancouver Canucks rebounded and took two of three in the second week of the 2018-19 season.
Vancouver lost 5-3 to the Carolina Hurricanes last Tuesday, but pulled off a surprising 4-1 victory over the powerhouse Tampa Bay Lightning. They capped off the week with a 3-2 road victory over the Florida Panthers, though rookie sensation Elias Pettersson suffered a head injury after an ugly hit from Mike Matheson.
The Canucks enter Tuesday with a 3-2-0 record, and they’ll try to pick up a third win on the road trip when they clash with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
