You will not have to say or write “future captain” before Bo Horvat‘s name any longer. As has been anticipated for years now, the Vancouver Canucks officially announced that Horvat will indeed don the C on his jersey this year for the Canucks.
Horvat is the 14th captain in the franchise’s history and is succeeding Henrik Sedin, who retired at the conclusion of the 2017-18 season alongside his brother Daniel Sedin.
Henrik is arguably one of the best captains ever, and Horvat will be filling some pretty big shoes.
