It was another quick exit from the playoffs for the Vancouver Canucks this season. Since making it to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2011, they have either been eliminated in the first round or, in the case of last season, not make the playoffs at all.
So, what should they do? That so-called “window of contention” seems to be closing fast, if it’s not already. Their core is aging and all on the 32 years of age or older. There is one issue that needs to be addressed and that’s their defense. Specifically, the age of it.
