It’s no secret that the Vancouver Canucks have had their share of difficulties this season. Injuries galore? Check. The injury bug came at the team in waves this year and every time it seemed as though they were close to having a healthy lineup, a new wave stormed the team.
The blue line was depleted heavily all season long. Dan Hamhuis missed two months with a broken jaw. Alexander Edler had his season shut down after breaking his leg. Luca Sbisa missed long stretches of games due to injury as well.
Yes, none of them have been having career seasons by any means, but their veteran presence was missed many times during those stretches.
