Vancouver Canucks: Jim Benning says he won’t trade Sedins

The Vancouver Canucks have been criticized by many for refusing to tear it all down and begin a full-scale rebuild. No matter what your definition of “rebuild” is, the Canucks aren’t really committing to the “R” word unless they trade away Daniel and Henrik Sedin.

Even though many believe (especially front office), believe that loyalty is more important than anything else, the Canucks can’t really move into the next era if a pair of 37-year-old, past-their-prime veterans remain on the roster.

Nonetheless, general manager Jim Benning appears to be keen on keeping the twins around, according to Rick Dhaliwal from News 1130:
