The Vancouver Canucks played a well-rounded game on Saturday night, but they couldn’t muster any offence as the Calgary Flames held on for a 3-0 victory.
With the loss, the Canucks are now 0-2 on the season. This marks the first since 2012-13 where Vancouver failed to pick up a victory in its first two contests. The rebuilt top-six hasn’t done a whole lot of anything yet, and the power play has gone 0-for-10 to start the season.
It’s easy to understand why fans are frustrated. With so many new additions and a young core of superstars ready to reach that next level, the Canucks entered 2019-20 with much higher expectations.
