With all eyes on the NHL Draft, Vancouver Canucks GM Jim Benning has turned the focus to trades and free agency. First, we found out he will talk to Milan Lucic after the draft. Then, he admitted to be in talks with the Montreal Canadiens about defenseman P.K. Subban. Now, in an interview with TSN, he also confirms he wants to pursue star center Steven Stamkos.
Up until now, all we knew was that Benning wants to add a 20 or 30-goal scorer for the top six. The prime candidates for that are Lucic and Loui Eriksson.
