Vancouver Canucks extend qualifying offers to seven players

On Monday, the Vancouver Canucks extended qualifying offers to seven of their restricted free agents. That list did not include goaltender Michael Garteig, defenseman Tom Nilsson or forward Michael Zalewski, however.

Winger Reid Boucher was acquired this past season via waivers, joining the Canucks for 27 games during which he scored five goals and seven points. The 23-year-old and his underrated shot could become offensive assets next year for the Canucks.

Signed last year during the offseason, Michael Chaput was to be a depth forward for Vancouver last season.
