The Vancouver Canucks have signed 26-year-old goaltender Jacob Markstrom to a three-year extension worth $11 million. The contract will cost the Canucks an annual cap hit of $3.67 million.
Markstrom, the 6-foot-6 Swede netminder, played 33 games last year, starting all but three of those games. He put up a solid performance, recording a .915 save percentage as well as a 2.73 goals against average.
