Vancouver Canucks prospect Brock Boeser was named NCHC co-Rookie of the Month after leading the league’s freshmen in points per game at 1.67 and goals per game at 0.83 in January.
The Canucks might have hit a homerun with their 23rd overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Brock Boeser, a freshman at the University of North Dakota, has 18 goals and 31 points in 26 games, ranking 17th among all NCAA players.
The 18-year-old winger from Burnsville, Minnesota, had five goals and 10 points in six January games, leading his team into first place in the NCHC.
