The Vancouver Canucks were one of the NHL’s most dominant teams for a decade.
From 2001-2013, they made the playoffs all but two seasons, winning seven Northwest Division titles and reaching the Stanley Cup Final in 2011.
But once the San Jose Sharks swept them in the opening round of the 2013 playoffs, it was evident the Canucks championship window closed.
Their core players were on the wrong side of 30, they didn’t have the intensity or speed to compete in four grueling series’. Nearly four years later, they’re learning the hard way for refusing to restart.
