Vancouver Canucks: Anders Nilsson a trade candidate for Islanders

Related Topics: Jacob Markström

Through the first two months of the season, Anders Nilsson appeared to be a major bargain for the Vancouver Canucks. General manager Jim Benning landed the 6-foot-6 Swede on a two-year deal worth $6 million.

But Nilsson has struggled throughout December (like most Canucks players, in all honesty), and has lost his last four starts. He has a ghastly 3.39 goals against average and .906 save percentage on the season.

Despite also struggling mightily this month, Jacob Markstrom has been given the starting duties over Nilsson. With top goalie prospect Thatcher Demko in the system, would it be logical for the Canucks to move out Nilsson at some point?
