Well, let’s just put it nicely: the 2016-17 Vancouver Canucks season wasn’t that exciting compared to 2010-11.
This team has missed the playoffs in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1999-2000. Things certainly did not go the way the front office envisioned back in October.
Not a whole lot went right for Vancouver in 2016-17. They once again struggled to score goals, Daniel and Henrik Sedin had their worst seasons since the 2005 lockout and the injury bug decimated their roster significantly.
But there were some positives, and after three-straight years of not establishing much of a direction, we now have an idea of where the team is going.
