The Vancouver Canucks were expected to be among the worst teams in the NHL this season, but head coach Wilile Desjardins has done a remarkable job keeping an injury-riddled and depleted lineup in the playoff hunt.
However, the Canucks lack of scoring is a huge concern. Their 2.34 goals per game place them fourth-last in the NHL. Bo Horvat is the scoring leader with 17 goals and 38 points — good, but not spectacular. It’s obvious this team’s biggest weakness is a bonafide goal scorer who can come through at any given moment.
