Vancouver Canucks: 3 Named to Sweden’s World Cup Roster

The Vancouver Canucks will be well represented at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey, as three were named today to the Swede roster in preparation for September’s international tournament. Vancouver’s Captain Henrik Sedin, his brother Daniel, and 26-year-old netminder Jacob Markstrom have been called upon to wear their native triple crown jersey.

There is potential that Swede defenceman Alex Edler also makes the team later. Edler would be facing injury concerns however, having blocked a shot off his ankle/foot just a few weeks ago.

The Sedins would be two of the oldest players to play at this year’s tournament which is set to be played in Toronto.
