The Vancouver Canucks came into this year with many questions surrounding the team still remaining. Head coach Travis Green wasn’t sure where the offence was going to come from, and the team came back with the same sub-par defence core that they had in the 2017-18 season.
One big question was goaltender Jacob Markstrom. After being acquired from the Florida Panthers in exchange for the Canucks’ all-time franchise leader in wins, Roberto Luongo, Markstrom was unable to find the level of consistency needed to be a starter in the NHL early in his career.
