How quickly things can change. With those words, Vancouver Canucks general manager Jim Benning became the villain.
On the second day of the 2015 NHL Draft, the Canucks traded Eddie Lack to the Carolina Hurricanes for a 2015 third-rounder and 2016 seventh-rounder. Many in Vancouver and elsewhere have thought that Vancouver did not get enough in return. Lack, who was already a fan favorite, enhanced that status with his play last season, leading the Canucks into the playoffs when Miller went down with an injury.
